Grow a Chicken Fighter Colossus Egg (Colossal Egg) Guide

The Colossal Egg, usually searched as “colossus egg”, is the newest egg in the game and the only way to hatch Storm Colossus, the chicken one high-rebirth player calls the strongest in the game. Here is what we can confirm a week after launch, and what is still single-source.

Quick answer: how to get a Colossus Egg

  • Get a Founder Rooster (56% from a Fortune Egg; also 6% Royal, 5% Ordnance, 3% Thunder, 3% Fang, 8% Blazing).
  • Put it in the Incubator. Players and two fan indexes report about 25% of its eggs there are Colossal Eggs, with the rest split between Royal and Fortune. It is the only chicken anyone has seen lay one.
  • Fight the Chicken Boss event. One recorded run shows a 5,000,000-damage tier that pays a Colossal Egg (and a 250,000-damage tier that pays a Fortune Egg). Another site describes rank-based rewards instead, so we list this as reported, not confirmed.

Chickens hatched from a Colossal Egg are reported not to lay it back, so the Founder Rooster stays the bottleneck.

Who lays it

Founder Rooster in the Incubatorabout 25% of its eggsFootage plus two indexes agree
Chicken Boss event, 5,000,000 damage1 egg per recorded runOne player’s footage; reward rule disputed
Storm Colossus, Talon Titan, Shockwave Hen, Rumble Roosterdo not lay ColossalOne guide; footage shows them laying Royal, Fortune or Thunder

One player tried fusing several Founder Roosters together and reported no improvement to its egg output, so owning more Founders (more Incubator rolls over time, or more coop layers) beats stacking them. Incubator mechanics, including the 300,000 Cash price one creator quotes, are on the Incubator guide.

Hatch pool

The full percentage table has not been published anywhere we trust. What is known:

The 46% figure for Rumble Rooster is from a single index and is not in the in-game snapshot the other sites use; treat it as a rough idea that Rumble is the common hatch.

What to hatch it for

Storm Colossus. It is Secret, so it can hit the 31 stat cap, and its skill Storm Call is described as repeated lightning strikes that clear the whole field. The creator who hatched one calls it the best chicken in the game and says it went undefeated on his server. That is one player’s view against a meta that currently favors Reaper + Voodoo and 404 + Cycle of Ash, so read it as “new top contender” rather than settled. See the skills page for the full list.

The rest of the pool is decent: Talon Titan (Mythic) and Shockwave Hen (Epic) both feed the Fortune Egg line and Shockwave also lays Royal Eggs.

Fastest farm route

  1. Farm Fortune Eggs via Agent Cluck or Baron Cluck until a Founder Rooster hatches (56%).
  2. Unlock the Incubator (300,000 Cash per one creator; another guide adds a rebirth requirement) and place the Founder in it.
  3. Claim eggs and open the Colossal ones. Keep Founder in the slot; one guide warns that rebirthing can remove the Incubator chicken, so collect before you rebirth.
  4. Hit the Chicken Boss event with your best fighter for the reported damage-tier egg.
  5. Repeat until Storm Colossus appears.

Remember that the Colossal Egg only exists as of Update #1; see the update log for what that patch changed and the events guide for the boss event itself.

Common questions

Colossus Egg or Colossal Egg? Both names are in use; the patch notes say Colossal, many players say Colossus. Same egg.

Do I need the Incubator? Every report of a Founder Rooster laying Colossal Eggs comes from the Incubator. We have not seen one laid in the coop, so assume yes.

How strong is the Chicken Boss? It is shown as a level 100,000 glowing giant in footage, with one player estimating around 5,000,000 HP. Rewards are tiered by damage in the footage we have.
