Grow a Chicken Fighter Aurora Hen: Odds & How to Get It
The Aurora Hen is the rarest regular hatch in the Thunder Egg and one of the few Divine chickens you can farm without touching the Haunt or Royal lines. Here is what it is and how to roll for it.

Where Thunder Eggs come from
The Thunder Egg is one of the easiest eggs to produce, which is why a 1% Divine is worth chasing here rather than elsewhere.
- Codes: EGGSCELLENT and LETMECOOK each give a Thunder Egg with 50 Cash and a 30-minute boost. Check the codes page for the current list.
- Sergeant Hen (Rare, 8% from the Scratch Egg) lays Thunder Eggs 100%. Put one on a feeder or in the Incubator and the eggs keep coming.
- Viking Rooster lays Thunder 70%, Crest Rooster 40%, and Astro and Commando 30% each.
- One recorded run also got a Thunder Egg from clearing the daily, playtime, and mission rewards.
The Thunder pool, for reference: Static Chick 14%, Commando Rooster 12%, Astro Chick 11%, Frostbite Hen 7%, Quake Rooster 7%, Sergeant Hen 7%, Tsunami Hen 7%, Viking Rooster 7%, Thunderclap 5%, Crest Rooster 5%, Magma Rooster 5%, Sandstorm Rooster 5%, Founder Rooster 3%, Twister Hen 3%, Aurora Hen 1%, Prism Rooster under 1%. Every Thunder-only chicken in that list lays Thunder 100%, so any of them can replace the Sergeant as your layer. Details on the Thunder Egg pool.
Why players want it: the inverted hunt
Since the Aug 15 update, any hatch has a 0.5% chance to come out inverted with a stat boost. Community lists name three inverted targets worth grinding: Reaper Rooster, 404 Chick, and Aurora Hen. The logic is that a Divine body with a boost is a solid carrier for a fused skill, and the Thunder Egg is cheap to mass-produce compared to Haunt or Cursed Eggs. Inverted status can also move through fusion, reported at roughly 2–33% after the hotfix. See inverted chickens.
What to do with one
- It has no known skill, so give it one: fuse a donor such as a Doll Hen (Voodoo) or Radiant Fenghuang (Cycle of Ash) and lock the skill in the preview. The fuse guide covers lock slots and what else carries over.
- Lock its Thunder laying trait if you fuse, or you may lose a 100% Thunder layer.
- A Blazing Egg is the faster roll at 3%; that egg also drops the Reaper, Doll Hen, and 404 Chick, so it is always worth opening. See the Blazing Egg page.
